New year is always a tricky one – where to go, what to do, and how to avoid the drama.
This new year we planned new years eve on the day and the spontaneity of it really made it – panic organising doesn’t always work but this year it did. Expectations were low so we were on to a winner from the start!
It started with a yummy curry at Mala on Holcombe Hill – the service was a little slow but with money off the bill and a round of free drinks we were more than happy. We fell straight from the Mala into The Shoulder of Mutton, to dance with the locals. Although I did feel like I needed a I live in Rammy badge to enter we danced to the cheesy tunes before finally off to Emily’s to bring in the new year.
All in all a wonderful NYE. My advice – don’t worry too much about the location or even doing something fancy – all you need is your friends, good food and a glass of bubbly at the chime of 12.00, oh and the Chinese lantern wouldn’t go a miss!
