Online dating to be or not to be, that is the question.

One of my dearest friends is single and looking for a lady to date, wine and dine and show him the more cultured things in life. Simple you might think, but in Ramsbottom I have to say that the pool is small and most people are old or of high school age – so he is struggling. My suggestion – online dating.

In London I have found that many people find a great way to meet people is through online dating sites, or at least they give it a go. Nevertheless, attitudes up north towards online dating is very different and many consider it to be firstly be unsafe and secondly question why is it that you must turn to a dating site to find a partner. Did all traditional methods fail?

I must disagree with this naive assumption, in today’s society people are too busy to have the time to find that special someone and often find that in a fast paced information world being able to select a partner who has similar taste in music or holiday destinations can be helpful, quicken the process and give you access to people you would never normally meet.

Fantastic in theory – in practice  the reality maybe a little different. However , I’m not naive enough to believe that  Mr / Mrs Right lives online but short of getting a few free diners and a good party story out if it, why not give it a go, you never know who you might meet – Mr/Mrs Right must be found somewhere and why not online you never who you might meet.
